  • Quick update here...though I need you to message me a short summary of your news,
as I have no time to peruse blogs....

I've been having special time with folks as we wind things up here...

    College chums:

    My very dearest of friends:

My lovely and gracious Xanga buddy, Doris:

One of my all-time favorite girls, also known as Jon's girl:

And Rob even had time with our best man, Brian. You can see what they did:

All that amid a multitude of packing sessions and phone calls and other arrangements.

We have finally confirmed that we are renting the house that we are trying to buy in Oregon - so we do have a home in which to move. (Cheers and Woots! all around!) We continue to dicker with the bank about the price. Best case scenario: we come to agreement and close on it by the end of September. Worst case scenario: they refuse to budge and foreclose on the house and try to sell it at a ridiculously high and impossible to get price and we move again in mid-September. I am encouraged.
We think it just might work out without that latter situation transpiring.
    May it be.
    Thank You, Jesus.

"There are no 'ordinary days.' There is always the tug of war...There is a liberation in that if you will have it....it's just a little while more, after all." ~ A. Seu

I fell like Dory...just keep swimming.....

"Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart..." Joel 2:12

"Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking." Mt 7:7

"Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing." Mk 5:36

Yes. That's the ticket. Keep on keeping on.

  • Have been watching Lewis and Clark on PBS. I trust that your trek across the continent will be more comfortable and a lot faster! God bless and take care.

  • I'm glad that you finally got something worked out about your house.  God bless you in all the work to do, and in the goodbyes, that tugs at my heart just thinking about it!  Hang in there! I got to meet Doris last week!  What a wonderful lady.  They were here to do a little work on the mobile chapel that is near us and we help out with. Other news in my world is that we're getting ready for the kids to visit in August...first time to have our baby granddaughter here and meet her Indiana relatives!

  • I'm happy about the leasing/buying of the Oregon house. I believe it will all come together for your good . . . it has to, with God conducting the whole thing!

No message, but surely you'll see this comment in your email:

My MRI and PET scans from 2 weeks ago show even more improvement in my bones (the doctor is still shaking her head and smiling) and I have a neck and skull MRI today because of some numbness in my arms/hands. Oncologist thinks is carpel tunnel - MRIs are "just in case". All is well here. I pray for you daily. Will love seeing new pictures of your precious family in Oregon!

  • I'm so glad that the housing situation is coming together so you at least know where you'll land!  And hopefully that's a good sign that you'll be able to buy the house in the end.  Good-byes are often the most difficult part of a move, but it looks as if you're making the most of them and having a good time between packing sessions -- good for you!  Can't wait till you're in the west!

  • It always works out Mornin Glorie...one wayor the other...just don't unpack everything until mid september - ilym

  • Wow! You have been social! I was to New York,Michigan and Arkansas and back just yesterday on road trips. Now it is string bean time!

  • youre not missing any news from me because I dont really have any. work, books, pool - the usual. we are blessed, tho. God always provides. and my mom is coming to visit this fall! yay!!
continuing to pray for all your family in this moving situation. I know that whatever happens will eventually be fore the best.

  • "Just keep swimming!"  You'll be there unpacking before you know it.
