"If you want a religion to make you feel really comfortable, I certainly don't recommend Christianity." ~ CS Lewis
Boy, isn't that the truth? But adventure abounds, that's for sure....and in the midst of all our ups and downs, He does provide solace.
"We possess this precious treasure in frail, human vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. We are hedged in (pressed) on every side - troubled and oppressed in every way, but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted, to stand alone; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed" 2 Cor 4:7-9"God... proved a comfort to me." Col 4:11
We're definitely living the adventure here. 11 days and the trucks roll. Just to add some excitement to the mix, I had to have a 4 & 1/2 hour nuclear stress test yesterday to be sure that my heart murmur symptoms are just that - innocuous heart murmur symptoms and nothing more. It seemed, from my perspective, that all went well - but, I'll get the final results later today. Hopefully nothing will require immediate attention, as time for procedures and convalescence is on the short side here! That is today's understatement, in case you didn't catch it.

Last weekend in NY, we went to Green Lakes State Park.
It's always a lovely spot in which to relax.
Here we have some of us with Cousin Jess and Grandma.
I enjoyed the skies as minor storms blew in and out.
Then it was dinner time....Jess, Gram and Cousin Meredith.
And Rob's bro and sister-in-law.
Similarly to my boys, our dear uncle is less than thrilled about camera time.
I just don't get it!! Who doesn't love a photo shoot?

Thinking of you and your family at this time more than ever! Great pictures.
Let us know the results? Maybe in an update to your post? My BIL hates having his picture taken.
Mornin Glorie...prayers for acceptable test results - I use to hate having my picture taken - then I came to accept that I am who I am and everyone knows how I look anyways....besides when I'm dead and gone I want my great great grandkids to have something to laugh about...ilym
May the Lord bless you, your heart, and give you strength for all this week!

Thanks, dear friends. My test came back not only normal, but it showed that my heart is in good shape! I am feeling euphorically relieved!
@i_was_there_and_back_again - YAY!!!!!
Good post. Lewis is right about so many things. Sorry to hear about your heart murmur. Nothing like stress to show up in physical problems, and nothing like physical problems to add to stress!
I love that quote! I think I may steal it for my email and FB! Thank you! I actually really need to find a way to get that across to a loved one right now, and that may just do it. Simple and to the point.
Oh my...love that quote from Clive Staples..... will probably pirate it.... the lake is a lovely spot...glad you enjoyed some time there with family..time out of the chaos is good! I am staeting to get hopeful about getting back into our house...the work is going pretty quickly! Praise God!!!
