I just took my first nap in our relatively new house. 'Twas nice, indeed.
Hopefully I won't regret it too much at bed time.
We spent the morning distributing food to the needy in our area. We do it twice a month, and then on a third Saturday we help serve the homeless a meal.
It's great. Truly a privilege.
I've always wanted the opportunity to care in this tangible way.Our girls are on a retreat this weekend. Today they played in the snow,
which is hard to believe, given that it's 50° outside my window,
brilliantly sunny, and very green."God is very good to those who trust in Him, and often surprises them with unlooked for blessings....Chance is banished from...faith...[We] see the hand of God in everything. The trivial events of today or tomorrow may involve consequences of the highest importance."
~ C. Spurgeon"The Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor...No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Ps 84:11
"In quietness and in trusting confidence shall be your strength." Is 30:15
"My times are in Your hands." Ps 31:15
"He will be the stability of your times....
The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure." Is 33:6Oh, God - where would I be without You?

Here's my oldest son and his wife on their first visit to the Pacific, back in January:So delightful. I love how the immensity of the ocean imparts perspective.

So glad you are finally able to relax a bit! Your photos are wonderful -- I hadn't realized how close you would be to the ocean (what town do you live in?). But you can have the jet stream back again any time -- it's bringing us nasty weather!

We're in Silverton. It's about 1 & 1/4 hours from the coast, in the valley between the coastal range and the Cascades. Come visit and I'll show you!
Beautiful pictures and coastline. Glad you got a nap. I think we all need them every now and then. Hope your Sunday is wonderful.
Those cliffs look absolutely amazing!
I posted wedding pictures this morning
Beautiful photos!
Love your ocean photos! The coastline there is more interesting than the Atlantic coastline here... more like the English coastline. Blessing on your week, friend!
